To prevent failures such as belt breakage, misalignment (tracking issues), and excessive wear, the following measures must be strictly implemented:

Preventing Misalignment (Tracking Issues)
Regularly inspect drums and idlers to ensure they are parallel, and promptly adjust the self-aligning idlers when necessary.
Ensure the material loading point is centered on the belt to avoid off-center loading.
Intervention is mandatory if the misalignment exceeds 5% of the belt width.

Controlling Speed and Load
The operating speed must not exceed 5.0 m/s, and should be kept lower when conveying large, highly abrasive materials.
Material should be fed in the same direction as the belt's movement. Reduce the drop height and utilize impact (cushion) idlers to minimize stress.

Cleaning and Lubrication
Clean the belt surface and surrounding areas of accumulated material every shift. Never use sharp tools to scrape the belt.
Regularly lubricate idler and drum bearings (using lithium-based grease), but ensure no oil or grease contaminates the belt.
Prevent material from burying the idlers, which can cause them to seize and stop rotating.

Splice and Edge Inspection
Visually inspect splices every shift for signs of bonding failure, blisters, or delamination (ply separation).
Manually check the splices weekly to detect any physical abnormalities.
Issue a warning if edge wear exceeds 70% of the thickness of the belt's center.

Damage Management
Promptly repair minor surface scratches and abrasions using cold-bond adhesive.
Tears that are ≤ 1/3 of the belt width and do not damage the splice can be repaired with cold bonding. Otherwise, vulcanization or a mechanical splice replacement is required.

Environmental Protection
Avoid contact with acids, alkalis, oils, and organic solvents.
When storing, keep the belts in rolls. Do not fold them, and turn them over once every quarter to prevent deformation.
Maintain warehouse conditions within the following parameters: Temperature: -15℃ to +40℃; Relative Humidity: 50% to 80% RH.
